Having a keen interest in drawing and artistic practices since an early age, Niccolò attended the School of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan.
During this study he found the designing of tattoos to be equally expressive. This prompted him to endeavour into this new practice at the end of his academic sculpture studies.
His concept of tattooing is in fact that of shaping the body just as it does with a sculpture. Working on the volumes and anatomy of the subject, he is able to create unique designs modelled to the individuals anatomy.
His tattoos are inspired by the tribal, reinterpreted in a modern and sometimes ornamental way. They are developed almost entirely drawing directly on the skin of the subject.
His passion for traveling led him to visit various places. Australia and the island of Borneo where the first on his list so far. In Sarawak, Borneo, he was able to admire the Iban tattoo tradition.
His next trip will be to Polynesia as soon as travel is permitted globally again. It is from these islands where one of his favorite tattoo styles originated thousands of years ago.
